Tinglayan, Kalinga – The Lumin-awa Trek is going to explore the beauty and wonders of the Municipality of Tinglayan on its fourth edition in the upcoming 2026 Kalinga Bodong Festival this February.

Launched in 2023, the Lumin-awa Trek is a yearly adventure which brings together hundreds of nature enthusiasts to explore the picturesque locale and immerse in the culture of the different municipalities in Kalinga. Since its launching, the event has so far explored Pasil, Tanudan, and Balbalan.

Now the next stop is in Tinglayan whose mountains and rich heritage are waiting for the adventurers to enjoy and experience.

On January 14, the Kalinga Trek 4 Organizing Committee convened with this year’s host municipality, Tinglayan led by Mayor Charles Abay, to discuss trail preparation, safety and security, logistics, accommodation, and to ensure a smooth inter-agency coordination.

“This collaborative effort highlights the strong partnership between the committee and the Municipality of Tinglayan in promoting eco-tourism, community engagement, and sustainable development,” Municipal Administrator, Atty. Mark Dave Bang-as said.

Bang-as added that the committee is set to convene on Monday, January 19, to finalize the trail and date for the much-awaited adventure.
